From Beginning to End: Part 3

Mar 1, 2026    Pastor James Bell

Are your spiritual roots growing deep or staying shallow? This week's message challenges us to move beyond surface-level faith and develop the kind of deep, stable roots that produce lasting fruit.

Just like a tree needs deep roots to withstand storms and bear fruit, our faith requires intentional depth. Colossians 2:7 reminds us to "let your roots grow deep into Him and let your lives be built upon Him." The difference between a fruitful Christian and a fruitless one isn't about talent or opportunity—it's about the depth of their roots in God's love and character.

The parable of the sower reveals a powerful truth: shallow roots produced by unrepentant sin create instability. When trials come, shallow-rooted faith withers. But when we humble ourselves, stay connected to Jesus, and allow His character to become our character, we develop the stability needed to bear a harvest.

Stop maintaining and start growing. God hasn't called us to stay the same—He's called us to go deeper. Will you let your roots grow deep this week?
