From Beginning to End: Part 6

Mar 22, 2026    Pastor James Bell

Are you in the middle of a storm that won't quit? Feeling pressed, crushed, and squeezed from every side? This week's message reminds us that God-appointed suffering isn't punishment—it's preparation. Like pressure-treated lumber that withstands the elements, we're being strengthened through the pressing for what's ahead.

Paul's words in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 ring true: "We are pressed on every side by trouble, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair." The shaking in your life isn't destroying you—it's removing what's dead, bringing you back to the foundation, and preparing you for harvest. Even when the storm rages for 14 days like Paul's shipwreck, God promises: "Take courage, none of you will lose your life."

The question isn't whether suffering will come—it's whether you've counted the cost and kept your faith. Jesus already told us: "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). Your storm has an end date, and His kingdom is unshakable.
